2009 leadership scholarship recipients

About Arrow Foundation

Arrow International is pleased to continue our support of The Arrow Foundation which supports the growth of leadership and talent in New Zealand.

The Arrow Foundation Leadership Scholarship recognises students who have demonstrated leadership qualities and initiatives within their school and community. The programme was designed to provide financial assistance for Year 13 students preparing to further their education at a recognised tertiary institution the following year.

The Arrow Foundation had an overwhelming response this year, having received over 270 applications nationwide.

Due to the high calibre of applications, the judging panel, which included an independent representative, Elim Christian College Principal Murray Burton, had an exceptionally difficult task to select the eight Scholarship winners.

We would like to congratulate the following scholarship winners who demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities:-

  • $5,000 Scholarship – Liam Walsh, John Paul College, Rotorua
  • $5,000 Scholarship – Michael McRae, Rangiora High School
  • $2,500 Scholarship – Nicholas Orr, Auckland Grammar School
