Kakariki House Office Development
A quick turn-around from the Arrow Hamilton team.
This project involved partial demolition and reconstruction of an existing Mitre 10 building, which was converted into commercial office space. The existing footprint of 2,500m2 now includes a new mezzanine of 700m2.
An open office was created for the client with seven separate sub-lettable tenancies and approximately 100 staff.
There is a large internal atrium and bridge to mezzanine spaces with an integrated room management system.
Staff facilities include a large purpose built cafe / lunchroom. Other facilities include a gymnasium, showers and changing room and an alfresco lunch dining area.

UNIQUE ASPECTS
An additional challenge for this project was the target of achieving a New Building Green Building Council 4 Star Green Star accreditation for the “In Design” model. The development was the first of its kind in the Waikato to achieve this rating.
