Quest Napier
Arrow identified the development opportunity and introduced the Quest operator and developer.
One of only two surviving buildings of the 1930 Napier earthquake, this 90 year old historic building represented an important part of local history. In consultation with Historic Places Trust, the Art
Deco Trust, the client and Quest’s own unique requirements, the final design was established.
The front thirds of the two level building were completely restructured, re-strengthened and refitted to include a new reception, service areas, and 11 apartments.
The rear two thirds were demolished to bare ground, built new and integrated with the front section. The rear section comprises two levels of car parking and three further levels containing 36 apartments.
