The redevelopment and re-construction of Spotlight Plaza in Sydenham Central Mall.
The mall redevelopment required a phased demolition and construction programme to ensure continuous public access and uninterrupted trading by tenants.
The new centre includes 30 tenancies, new public facilities, high-roofed central atrium, new entrance ways to both ends of the mall.
Redevelopment and refurbishment has also been undertaken of adjacent premises owned by others,continuing the mall’s striking appearance further along Colombo Street.
A new building automation system and new H&V plant controls the interior atmosphere.

UNIQUE ASPECTS
The 20-month construction period (including two winter construction periods) needed to be phased in a way to ensure uninterrupted tenant trading. The 250-space car park also needed to be re-modelled and re-orientated.
