NMIT ARTS & MEDIA BUILDING
Our Nelson branch is involved in producing a world first by using state-of-the-art building technology.
Arrow International is working in partnership with Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (www.nmit.ac.nz/...) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (www.maf.govt.nz) to develop a leading edge technology multi-storey timber framed building.
The revolutionary new Arts & Media building is sustainable, environmentally sensitive and local, with the building management, design and resources all being sourced within 100 kilometres of Nelson.
The structure is a world first for both its timber earthquake resistance design and its unique laminated veneer lumber (LVL) primary structure, in lieu of traditional steel and concrete; this building will be an inspiring learning environment that breaks new ground in world building technology.
The project is on schedule to be completed and ready for occupation by NMIT staff and students by February 2011.

FORSYTH BARR STADIUM AT UNIVERSITY PLAZA, DUNEDIN
Arrow International's Major Projects division is project managing the design and construction of this multi-purpose, multi-million dollar rectangular stadium. The Logan Park precinct location of this stadium adds a new social hub for Dunedin and links the University to the City.
The stadium has an opening date of August 2011, and will host three matches of the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
