QUEENSTOWN AIRPORT TAKES OFF
Queenstown Airport Takes Off
Due to increasing passenger numbers, along with developments in the baggage, security and retail sectors Arrow International were appointed project managers/delivery managers to develop and delivery the successful expansion of Queenstown International Airport.
The project planning began in July 2004 with the directive of completion before the winter season of 2007. This required the construction to be fast tracked with design and construction being managed concurrently. It was also a requirement to maintain full airport operations with minimal disruptions which resulted in a staged completion programme for the terminal works, landside (drop-off and carpark) works and apron (aircraft stands) works.
Although the budget and programme were set back in July 2004 we completed the project ahead of time and under budget.
