PROJECT DART

Project DART

Developing Auckland's Rail Transport Network

The DART projects are an extremely challenging set of design and construction works. The works revolve around the duplication of the existing rail track on the North Auckland Line between Newmarket and Swanson, which have to be completed within the live rail corridor.

The DART 8 project is largely a civil engineering project based around the construction of 5.5km of new track, three new / upgraded stations, a new road overbridge by the Waitakere City Council, duplicated concrete ballast deck bridge and three new pedestrian overbridges.

It follows on from the successful DART 7 project that was commissioned at Easter.
