SITE SAFE AWARDS ARROW TIER 3. THE HIGHEST ACCREDITATION FOR SAFE SITES IN NZ
The Construction Safety Charter Accreditation Programme was designed to measure and recognise construction contractors performing at a high level of site safety - planning, communication, monitoring and accountability. To achieve 'best value', many construction clients are looking beyond low price when selecting contractors by looking at actual on-site performance. The programme gives clients information they can use to pre-qualify and select contractors based in part on safety performance.
“It is one thing to have systems and processes but real Health and Safety is achieved when you make a shift in culture. Tier 3 was about engaging leadership so we can change culture, both in our team and on our sites”.
CEO, Arrow Group
“We always had a good Health and Safety record and good sound policies and culture but we had no way of benchmarking them against others in the industry. Site Safe’s accreditation process was a way of proving to ourselves, as much as anybody, that we were performing to our best abilities. Tier 2 provides a compliance benchmarking level while Tier 3 is designed to monitor the management structure that drives the culture to achieve that compliance.”
National H&S Team Leader
“We wanted to be a Health and Safety leader within the industry, proving that we walk the talk by setting a high standard for contractors to follow. We also believe that a safe, tidy site increases productivity and improves attitudes so it made sense to get involved with the programme.”
