FRANZ JOSEF RAINFOREST HOTEL
A relaxing retreat, tucked away in Franz Josef
Scenic Circle Hotels has given the go ahead to develop a 5-star, 100 room "Rainforest" Hotel in Franz Josef. The hotel will complement Scenic’s existing Glacier Hotel which operates at an extremely high occupancy in the peak tourist season.
The "Rainforest" concept has been developed by award winning architects, Dalman Architecture. The hotel is to be located on a large site within a large expanse of dense West Coast bush and has been designed with environmental sustainable design principals to enable Scenic to market the hotel as a "green" building.
Construction has just begun on the $26.5M project with a staged completion through to summer 2008/2009.
